Leaves scratching the pavement in the wind.
Twinkles in the sky and twinkles over the the fields of wildgrass (fireflies).
Crickets singing us into the calm night hours.
Emma pausing in a field of lusciously-scented honeysuckle during our last leisurely walk through our neighborhood.
Riding my bike through this little town of 1200 people at 11:00 pm, I somehow manage to feel that despite all hurt and all the emotions that say otherwise, things are going to be okay.
