Toccando Il Cielo

"Toccando il Cielo"

That's Italian for, "Touching the Sky." I keep an Italian phrase calendar on my desk, and on one random day last year my phrase-for-the-day was, "Potrei toccare il cielo con un dito!" Literally translated this means, "I could touch the sky with a finger!"

I asked my heart for the title to my new writing space and this is the first and only thing that came to mind. I used to think that this privilege - reaching out (up?) and embracing the good in life - wasn't mine to ask for or behold. There is just so much beauty and opportunity available to sense and enjoy. I'm ready to touch the sky!
